Bilimoria Consulting Ltd respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you visit bilimoriaconsulting.co.nz and how we use it. Where applicable, we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form, free property report form, or any other inquiry form on this site, the information you provide (your name, email address, phone number, property address, project type, and any details you write) is personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We handle it accordingly.

We also capture marketing attribution signals to understand which channels bring inquiries to our practice. These may include:

• The URL of the page you submitted the form from
• The URL of the page that referred you to our site (if any)
• Campaign tracking parameters in the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, gclid, dclid)
• A pseudonymous Google Analytics client identifier (the _ga first-party cookie), if analytics is enabled in your browser

These attribution fields are used solely to understand which marketing channels drive inquiries to our practice. The _ga client identifier is a randomly-generated, pseudonymous value. It is not your name, email, or any other directly identifying information by itself.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and provide the planning advice you have requested
• To understand which marketing channels (email, social, search, referrals) bring people to our practice
• To improve the relevance of content we publish

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as required to deliver our planning service, with your knowledge (for example, council pre-application discussions on your behalf).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our site. GA4 sets a first-party cookie containing a pseudonymous client identifier. Google’s own privacy policy applies to data Google receives directly through this service.

You can limit Google Analytics tracking through your browser settings (cookie controls, tracking protection) or by installing Google’s official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. These options reduce or block analytics tracking but do not change Google’s underlying data collection practices.

We also use Google Maps and Google Places API for address autocomplete on our forms. Standard Google Maps cookies may be set when these features render.

Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020

You can:

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you
• Request that we correct it
• Ask us to delete it (subject to professional record-keeping obligations for planning matters we have advised on)

Cookies we set

We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking beyond Google Analytics and Google Maps.
