130 Kids Childcare
The maximum number of children permitted on site at any one time shall be limited to 130 children and the maximum number of fulltime equivalent staff (FTE) permitted on site at any one time shall be limited to 19 (FTE).
The childcare facility shall operate between the hours of 06:00am to 06:30pm Monday to Friday.
The ancillary residential unit shall be for the employee(s) of the childcare facility onsite (including members of the employee(s) household).
The proposed childcare facility is considered to be compatible with the existing land uses and development in the surrounding environment. The effects of the proposed activity onsite have been assessed and are considered to be acceptable; any cumulative effect resulting from the proposal will not detract from the character and amenity of the Industrial Zone and the immediate vicinity.
The proposal addresses the streetscape, improves the connection between the site and the public space, with the design of the building providing visual interest through a number of features such as a range of cladding/materials, colours and transparency to be used.
The landscaping and fences to be implemented as per conditions above will ensure streetscape amenity is enhanced as what has been assessed in the application.
The existing road network has adequate capacity to absorb the amount of traffic expected to be generated by the site activity. In accordance with the information provided in the application and the information contained within Council, the safety and efficiency of the transport network will not be impacted.
The proposed development is sustainable and any adverse effects created from the application are acceptable. Overall the proposal is consistent with the purpose and principles of the Resource Management Act.
