Garages into bedrooms
The applicant proposes to convert the existing garages for each unit into a new bedroom.
The proposal will increase the supply of residential accommodation in the city, in an area of the city that is zoned for high density living. There will be no increase in gross floor area, or any infringements consented under the original, as such the streetscape will not change through the proposed variation. As such, I consider the effects of converting the garage into an additional bedroom for each unit to be no more than minor.
